NEW PRESIDENT FOR THE WOBS

Nick Walshe is the new President of WOBS RFC.

This appointment follows the sad loss in October last year of our Founder President, Glenn Robertson, after a 19 year spell in the role since the start of the Club in September 1993.

Nick Walshe is currently the Head coach of the England Under-20 squad, which won the IRB world Junior Championship in June this year.  Nick won two England caps, at scrum half, and had a lengthy first class career, playing for Rosslyn Park, Harlequins, Saracens, Sale and Bath.  Before coaching England, Nick was assistant coach at Bedford Blues and head coach at Old Sulians in Bath.

Nick was captain of the Worth 1st XV in 1991, where he also represented Sussex and London.

Worth Old Boys’ Society RFC (the “WOBS”) are delighted to have Nick as our President.
